Conference on Media Literacy16 November 2012
How to design the parameters of a future funding scheme for media and film literacy ?
The Europe Creative Programme helps the European Union film and audiovisual industries with financial support in the development, distribution and promotion of their work and moreover to catch the opportunities of the ‘digital age’ and globalisation. It contributes directly to the success of the MEDIA and Culture programmes.
The European Commission decided to hold a film and media literacy conference in order to discuss funding opportunities available within the framework of the Creative Europe Programme. The aim of the conference is to prepare and promote the planned action lines for film literacy and media literacy.
Cecoforma Events & Communication managed the logistical part of this project. What better place to organise this one-day event than a historic cinema? The Albert Hall Complex was an evident choice. Cecoforma Events & Communication also took care of the technical aspects of the conference such as the screens and microphones. The speakers were invited through Cecoforma Events & Communication (travel and per diem) and a networking lunch was offered to all the participants. The promotional part of the project was built through a dedicated website and emailings. Also a photographer spent the day at the conference to immortalise this event.
