On Friday, May 9, 2014, Cecoforma Events & Communication organised the second edition of "Étoiles de Cristal" ("Crystal Stars") in the prestigious salons of the Spa Casino, together with the Provincial Committee of Liège.
Cecoforma Events & Communication was responsible for all of the communication and organisation of this second edition: news coverage, identifying media partners and sponsors, raising awareness among businesses and gala logistics (entertainment for the evening and catering).
The best Division 3 & Promotion and First Provincial players, coaches and referees were honoured at the awards ceremony. The title of the best referee of the provincial went again to Stéphane Claes, known as the gentleman referee. Among the goalkeepers, Pierre Derbaudrenghien and Joseph Biersard were respectively elected best goalkeepers of P1 and D3 & Promotion. On the coach side, the very young Benoît Waucomont of Richelle won the trophy for best P1 coach. The Belgian-Croatian Drazen Brncic Verviers won himself the trophy D3 & Promotion. Finally, the Crystal Stars for the best players were awarded to Gregory Scatonne (P1) and the experienced Jacques Beckers (D3 & Promotion).
A sign of its growing importance, the ceremony was once again covered by local television stations RTC and Televesdre. Between the two parts of the ceremony, comedian and columnist Jérôme de Warzée scoured the room with his dark and good-natured humour. Thierry Luthers, who was also master of ceremonies for the previous edition, reprised his role masterfully, always accompanied by Christian Pastore and his "With Us" group for the musical entertainment throughout the evening. And to close the ceremony, the "Made in Brazil" troupe made ??the audience dance to the rhythm of the samba, a few days before the 2014 World Cup.
Here are some figures to finish off: This year, over 400 people were present, spread over 46 tables in the main hall of the Spa Casino. In all, more than 13,000 votes were cast via the forms published in the newspaper La Meuse and on their website. Success across the board!
For the second consecutive year, amateur football was celebrated in the best of ways.
