The interinstitutional open doors day ("Europe Day") allows the general public to discover the EU and its institutions
The interinstitutional open doors day, also known as "Europe Day", held in May each year, allows the general public to discover the EU and its institutions. On Saturday, May 4, 2013, the Committee of the Regions opened its doors between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to welcome some 4,000 visitors. The guests were able to visit booths of over 40 cities and regions and discover their cultural wealth across Europe. The activities took place on the 5th floor of the CoR building and the reception on the ground floor.
Cecoforma Events & Communication organised three family activities: picture taking, dancers and a clown/magician. Each photo was printed in "pop art" colours and then integrated into a magnetic holder - a nice souvenir to take home. The dancers set the pace throughout the day and they did not hesitate to invite the youngest visitors to whirl around with them. The magician/balloon artist delighted the ground floor with sculptures in magical balloons. What a success!
