Welcome Trainees of the EU Institutions3 October 2013
Speakers from all EU institutions present Community policy-making to the 700 winter 2012 trainees at Flagey, Brussels
Twice a year, the European Commission welcomes 700 trainees. The official in-service training aims to provide young university graduates with a unique, first-hand experience of the workings of the European Commission in particular, and of the EU institutions in general.
All training periods begin with an administrative welcome meeting followed by a general introductory conference on Community matters. Attendance is obligatory for all trainees, with the exception of those based in a Delegation and those starting at a later date (deferred start). Trainees are then assigned to their Directorates-General or Services. The European Commission was responsible for the programme of the conference but requested logistical support for the organisation of the introductory conference on Community matters.
Cecoforma Events & Communication identified and booked a suitable venue that is both central and able to accommodate 700 trainees. It also liaised with the catering provider of the European Commission (Eurest) on coffee breaks and a light reception at the end of the conference. Cecoforma Events & Communication provided logistical support and additional services, including hostesses and technical staff for presentations and lighting.
