ART AT WORK - phase 2

Dec 2011 - Apr 2013

Cecoforma Events & Communication manages a travelling exhibition across 5 African countries (Egypt, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Uganda and Kenya) - Phase II

On the 50th anniversary of African independences and the third edition of the EU-African Summit, the European Commission wished to co-organise a travelling expedition along with the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels on the creativity and artistic practices of contemporary Africans. In conjunction with this, workshops, debates and open air screenings were also anticipated. The European Commission and BOZAR were seeking an operator to manage the technical, human, and administrative aspects of this travelling exhibition. This involved managing requests to Cecoforma Events & Communication from local authorities, assembling and disassembling a wooden pavilion at each stage, and ensuring the promotion and presentation of parallel activities.

Cecoforma Events & Communication's mission was thus to manage the different operators, the construction of the pavilion itself, and all of the related technical constraints, but also to implement qualified personnel to carry out the installation and assembly of various aspects of the event: photo placement (collage), organisation of a reception, management of promotions and press relations. In each city it was necessary to adjust to local constraints and to demonstrate significant flexibility so that the event meets expectations. The result? An attractive showcase for the European Commission and a wonderful reference, far from home, for Cecoforma Events & Communication .
